From the British Virgin Islands to St. John's University to Stamford. Building confidence and skills one athlete at a time.
Rey Jackson grew up in the British Virgin Islands before relocating to Connecticut in 2017. A natural athlete who grew up playing cricket, he channeled that competitive drive into the academic and coaching world of American sports.
Rey earned a Bachelor's degree in Sport Management with a coaching concentration from St. John's University, graduating with honors. During his time there, he served as the sole manager for the university's softball program — earning the Manager of the Year Award for his exceptional dedication and contributions.
Now at BVSA, Rey focuses on helping athletes develop their abilities, build confidence, and accomplish their goals — both athletically and personally. He has earned a reputation as a community favorite through clinic work and birthday party instruction, and recently joined Sacred Heart University's softball program as a volunteer coach.
Rey believes athletic development starts in the mind. He builds confidence alongside skills — because an athlete who believes in themselves performs differently.
Every session has a purpose. Rey works with athletes to set clear, achievable objectives — then tracks progress toward them over time. Athletes leave knowing what they accomplished.
From clinic regulars to birthday party favorites, Rey has become a trusted face in the Stamford sports community. Parents and athletes know they're in good hands.
